Laura Shaw has been making quilts since 2018. Her work combines improvisational gestures with a love for the formal grid. She uses both recycled fabrics and commercial yardage in each of her pieces.

Her quilts have been in both judged and juried shows, including QuiltCon, the Houston International Quilt Festival, Quilt=Art=Quilts, and the SAQA Global Exhibition Color in Context: Red. She has been featured internationally in a variety of publications, podcasts, and roundtable discussions.

Her quilt Your Mother. Your Daughter. Your Sister. Your Grandmother. You. was acquired by the International Quilt Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Laura lives in the Pacific Northwest with her family.
