A book designer by trade, Laura Shaw has been making quilts since 2018. Using commercial fabrics and recycled materials, her work combines improvisational gestures with a love for the formal grid.
Her quilts have been featured in both judged and juried shows, including QuiltCon, the Houston International Quilt Festival, Quilt=Art=Quilts at the Schweinfurth Art Center, and the SAQA Global Exhibition Color in Context: Red. Her quilt “Your Mother. Your Daughter. Your Sister. Your Grandmother. You.” was acquired by the International Quilt Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Laura lives in Portland, Oregon, with her family. You can find her book designs at laurashawdesign.com
